Homeschool Hangout: Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian Renaissance painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer. Try saying all of that in one breath! He was inspired by closely observing the world around him and trying to recreate what he saw.

We'll follow in Leonardo's footsteps by building model catapults and constructing marble race tracks that test velocity and speed. We'll also discuss his legacy as an engineer and study his aerial screw sketches before building our own aerodynamic contraptions.

Join Discovery Village educators as we explore science topics in an environment that encourages homeschoolers to discover science and work together to solve problems. Parents can join in on the fun or have fun exploring the Village with younger siblings.
