You don't need fancy equipment – your smartphone is perfect! Here are a few tips to help your story shine.
What to Share:

Length: Keep your video between 30-90 seconds.
Be Genuine & Enthusiastic: Let your excitement show! Speak from the heart.
Audio is Key: Speak clearly and loudly. Record in a quiet space, or test your audio before you start.
Good Lighting: Film in a well-lit area. Natural light (from a window) is often best.
Hold Steady & Horizontal: Hold your phone horizontally (landscape mode) for a wider, more professional look. Keep it as steady as possible!
Setting: Feel free to film at the Gilbert House during your visit, or in a well-lit, quiet home environment.
Ready to Share Your Story?
- Parent/Guardian Consent: All videos featuring individuals under 18 must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian who provides consent for their likeness and words to be used by the Gilbert House Children's Museum.
- Usage Rights: By submitting your video, you grant the Gilbert House Children's Museum permission to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display the video (or audio/excerpts from it) for promotional, fundraising, and educational purposes across all our platforms (website, social media, advertisements, presentations, etc.) without further compensation.
- Original Content: Submitted videos must be original content created by the entrant and not infringe on any third-party rights.
- Family-Friendly Content: All submissions must be appropriate for a family audience.
- Staff Discretion: The Gilbert House Children's Museum reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not meet the guidelines or is deemed inappropriate.
