With a background in Math Education and years spent creating captivating learning experiences, Julia knows just how to spark young minds. While she enjoyed her time substitute teaching, her heart truly belongs to the vibrant atmosphere of summer camps – and that's exactly the magic she brings to our Homeschool Adventures!
Julia believes that learning should feel like play, and that's her mission for every single class. She expertly blends science, art, and engineering concepts into engaging activities, ensuring your child develops crucial skills like creativity, critical thinking, resilience, and social development – all while having a blast! Meet Andrew, our enthusiastic and supportive Assistant Teacher, ready to make each monthly adventure even more enriching for your child! Andrew's passion lies in creating a positive and collaborative environment where students can truly thrive.
One of Andrew's favorite parts of Homeschool Adventures is witnessing the wonderful friendships that blossom among the children. He believes in the power of play as a tool for learning and is constantly amazed by the connections kids forge as they explore and grow together. While each class may have a set duration, the impact of the friendships and collaborative spirit they build extends far beyond the hour. For Andrew, it's all about the meaningful connections we make with one another, and he finds immense joy in seeing these bonds develop within our classes. OCTOBER - Things That G0
October 2, 9, 16, 23 OR 3, 10, 17, 24
Build sail and paddle boats, design and launch a stomp rocket, construct and clock the speed of a toy car, and more! The emphasis of these STEM classes is discovery through creativity and trial-and-error rather than step-by-step instruction.
NOVEMBER - Ceramics and Painting
November 6, 13, 20, Dec. 4 or 7, 14, 21, Dec. 5
Learn the basics of handbuilding and glazing as you create a ceramic fish or butterfly dish. This is a multi-week project! When we are not working on our ceramic project, we will be painting beautiful and quaint landscapes in acrylic and learning watercolor techniques for a unique collage.
NOTE: There is no class the week of Thanksgiving.

Empowering Independent Learners:
Our program encourages children to develop independence and problem-solving skills. We recommend parents use this time for personal errands or relaxation, allowing children to fully immerse themselves in the learning experience.
