ACCESS Membership

At Gilbert House Children’s Museum, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, play, and grow in a space that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and discovery. We are committed to providing equal access to hands-on learning experiences for all families, ensuring that financial barriers never stand in the way of exploration and growth. Through our ACCESS Memberships, we are proud to offer affordable opportunities for every child to unlock their natural gifts and talents in a place designed to inspire.
What is the ACCESS Membership?
- For just $70 per year, eligible families receive all the benefits of our Gilbert Family Membership, including:
- Admission for two named adults and up to four children for one full year
- Reduced fees and early access to summer camps, classes, and special events
- 10% discount in Gilbert’s Gift Shop (excludes food & beverages)
- Discount on party room rentals
- Free admission to over 360 Association of Science Technology Centers (ASTC) worldwide
- Discounted entry to Northwest Association of Youth Museums (NWAYM)
Who Qualifies?
- ACCESS memberships are available to families who:
Have an annual household income of $50,000 or less before taxes
Participate in at least one of the following programs:- Section 8/Public Housing
- Children's Health Insurance Plan (CHIP), Medicaid, Oregon Health Plan
- Food Stamps, WIC Documentation
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America
- Head Start Preschool Program
- Unemployment
How to Apply
- Provide proof of eligibility from one of the qualifying programs, dated within the past six months.
