Our first Science Night for Adults of the 2017 series will be held on Thursday, June 22, from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. Scott Meyer and Karen Holman of the Willamette University Department of Chemistry will present on the “The Chemistry of Sustainable, Renewable Energy.” Tony Smiley (The Loop Ninja) will play live music, guests will enjoy a raffle with prizes, and food will be available for purchase from The Kitchen on Court Street, who is donating all evening proceeds back to Gilbert House Children’s Museum. Adult beverages will also be available for purchase, donated by Gilgamesh, Casa Bruno Wines, and Wandering Aengus Ciderworks.
“We’re looking forward to an enjoyable and engaging evening,” says Alicia Bay, Executive Director of Gilbert House Children’s Museum. “We’re grateful to all of our generous sponsors who are donating their time, talent, and products to make this event a successful one, and we hope many will take advantage of this evening out to show their support for Gilbert House.”
The Museum will remain open during Science Night for Adults so adults can enjoy our exhibits. Tickets will be available at the door only. Tickets are $8 for Gilbert House members and $10 for nonmembers.
