In association with Marion Cultural Development Corporation, and the West Salem High School Latino Club, Gilbert House Children’s Museum is delighted to host a special Dia Del Niño event at Gilbert House on Sunday, April 30th.
This special celebration of children will be full of fun crafts and performances. From 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on April 30th, visitors will be able to enjoy games, crafts, face painting, a photo booth, and more! A traditional Mexican dance will be performed by members of the West Salem High School Latino Club.
“Working with members of the Latino Club has been a great experience,” says Ryan Kinnett, Outreach Coordinator at Gilbert House Children’s Museum. “These young men and women have come up with great ideas for crafts and performances. We are all excited to share this day with Gilbert House visitors.”
Dia Del Niño has been celebrated annually in Mexico since 1925. This holiday celebrates children and their important place in society.
All Dia Del Niño activities and performances are included with admission to Gilbert House Children’s Museum. Admission is $8.00 (Ages 3-59), $6.00 (Ages 60+), $4.00 (Ages 1-2), $4.00, and FREE for Gilbert House members and children under 1.
