Every summer, Gilbert House Children’s Museum hosts a monthly Science Night for Adults; an evening full of science, live music, food, and adult beverages. Tickets are available at the door only, and are $8 for members, and $10 for nonmembers.

We’ve just set the summer dates and speakers for the 2017 series of Science Night for Adults. See below for more details about each night.

June 22, 2017 • 6:30 pm to 10 pm – Scott Meyer and Karen Holman from Willamette University Department of Chemistry will present on “The Chemistry of Sustainable, Renewable Energy.” Enjoy music by Tony Smiley (The Loop Ninja), delicious food from The Kitchen on Court Street, a raffle with prizes, and adult beverages*.

July 27, 2017 • 6:30 pm to 10 pm – Jennifer Godfrey from Oregon State Parks will be here to teach us about the upcoming Solar Eclipse, musician Isaac Turner will perform, and delicious food from The Kitchen on Court Street.

August 17, 2017 • 6:40 pm to 10 pm – Joe Ibrahim, head wine maker from Willamette Valley Vineyards will discuss viticulture and wine making, Seahorse the Band will perform, and delicious food from The Kitchen on Court Street.
