Volunteer

The A.C. Gilbert Discovery Village volunteers come from a variety of sources, including senior citizens, retired professionals, service organizations, business partnerships, and youth community service organizations through the schools, to mention a few. Volunteer opportunities can include clerical work, gardening, assisting in classes or workshops, daily museum maintenance, and preparing outreach class supplies. If you have other special talents or skills you wish to share, volunteer positions can be created to suit the needs of both the museum and the volunteer.

As a Volunteer

- You are the most important person to our visitors.
- You are a friendly face.
- You share your knowledge about the museum and the exhibits.
- You help keep the museum inviting and tidy.
- You make the classes and activities fun and exciting.

While you're here -- you're representing us. We want to do all we can to ensure that you are a happy and successful volunteer. So ask questions, make suggestions, and above all -- have fun!
