Please join us as we explore
a variety of topics, activities, and experiments that are sure
to educate and excite your child. We have designed these classes
& workshops to target a broad range of learning styles.
Our classes & workshops fill quickly so sign up early to
save your spot.
Registration
Information
Please read the descriptions for
your child's age, note the sessions that interest you and refer
to them when you register. Children must meet age requirements
by the first day of class.

Full payment required at time of registration by check, credit
card, or cash.
Cancellation
/ Refund Policy
There are no refunds for one
day workshops. Withdrawing 14 days prior to class start,
full refund; 13 to 7 days 50% refund; less than 7 days no refund.
Occasionally, low registrations require us to cancel classes
or workshops. If this happens, you will receive a full refund.
Refunds will not be granted after class starts or for missed
classes

DISCOVERY
WORKSHOPS
Body
Builders
Saturday, May 10, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
$10 members/$15 nonmembers
What makes the body function? Our friend Stuffee© will
introduce students to the major body systems, leading to hands-on
activities including the dissection of cow eyeballs and pig
hearts and lungs. Comparative anatomy dissection stations, making
a cell, "gut" bags, and skeletons complete this lab.

Majestic
Mystery
Saturday, May 24, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
$10 members/$15 nonmembers
Beginning Magicians will learn to make and perform the Great
Escape, Magic Location of a Selected Card, Indestructible Rope,
and additional magic effects. They will also develop poise and
public speaking skills while expanding their interest in the
art of magic. Ages 6-8.
Illusions
or Magic?
Saturday, May 24, 2 - 5 p.m.
$15 members/$20 nonmembers
Young Magicians will make and learn to perform tricks including
Coins Through Glass, the Magic Wuffle Tube, Linking Clips, Penetrating
Bands, and others. Expanding their technical execution of magic's
basic principles, they will learn elements of theater, stage
presence, comedy, elocution, and timing. This workshop will
enable them to continue to gain valuable life-long public speaking
and communication skills. Ages 9 and up.
Plant
a Pot of Pansies
Saturday, May 31, 12 - 1 p.m.
$6 members/$11 nonmembers
The cheery face of the pansy is a popular choice for gardens,
providing an abundance of year-round color. Students will create
a planter of pansies, a garden identification label, a gift
card, and poem for a complete garden gift. Ages 3 and up.

Paint
a Rainbow en Español: Parts I and II
Four-week series begins April 2 (in session)
Wednesdays, 10 - 11 a.m.
$35 members/$45 nonmembers
Research shows that early exposure to another language increases
the possibility of second language acquisition and teaches openness
to other cultures. In this series, children will explore fun
painting techniques with mud, pudding on cookies, and sidewalk
chalk, acquiring basic words and phrases in Spanish as they
play. Adult is required to stay. Note: If your child enjoyed
this class last season, they can enroll again for another exposure
to the content with variations in some activities. Ages
2-6
Preschool
Science Studio
Eight-week series begins April 3 (in session)
Thursdays, 10 - 11 a.m.
$55 members/$65 nonmembers
Curiosity means actively exploring your environment, asking
questions, investigating possibilities, and possessing a sense
of both wonder and doubt. In this series, children will experiment
with color, paper tricks, balloons, and flight activities while
building their curiosity about their world and how it works.
Ages 3-6.
